Photo & Data Policy
Photographs of children deserve unusual care. This is what we are building, described plainly.
Why we ask for photos
Reference photographs are what let us draw characters your child recognises. They are a visual reference for illustration — nothing more.
How they will be stored
The production service will keep reference photographs in private storage that is not publicly reachable, accessed only through short-lived signed links by the systems building your book.
How long we will keep them
Source photographs are deleted automatically no later than 30 days after the book they belong to is finished or abandoned. A book left untouched for 30 days is treated as abandoned. You can also delete any photograph yourself at any time, and files uploaded without ever being attached to a book are removed within 24 hours.
Permission
You must be the child's parent or legal guardian, or have their permission, before uploading a photograph of a child.
Where things stand today
Photographs are uploaded to private, access-controlled storage inside your own account folder. They are never given a permanent public address; when an image needs to be shown, we create a link that expires within minutes. No other customer can reach your files. Automatic deletion after printing, and story generation itself, are still to come — for now you can remove any photograph yourself from the book wizard at any time.
